Ikoro Samuel Chijioke, professionally known by his stage name as King Kafi, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, performer and dancer born on 22/02/1996 in Onitsha, Anambra State. He is a native of Abia State in South Eastern Part of Nigeria.
He was formerly known as Lasch Kay, but in early 2020, he took the bold step to change his stage name professionally to - King Kafi. He is yet to release a song with his new performing name.
King Kafi is signed to his own self-led record label; Virgin Beat Entertainment, which has been gaining momentum since the day of its creation. He has worked with artists and producers like; TBoyla, Don Zee, M'Prof, Randaz Black, Senior Maintain, Brainy Boy, Lymo, Imo Fresh, Mobaz, Dozzy Breezy and Paragon, to mention a few.
Ikoro Samuel Chijioke derives his new name - King Kafi from his Arabic friend, who fondly calls him "Kafi". He decided to ask his friend the meaning of the name and his friend gave him the answer as this - Kafi is an Arabic name for boys that means “sufficient”, a person who can fully take care of another person's needs and make them needless of others. Since then, he has decided to bear the name as his professional performing name.
King Kafi has so many hit-songs to his name. Songs like; 'Jejely', 'Will', and 'Wine It' to mention a few.
