Martins Okechukwu Joshua Kalu Okwun, professionally known as J. Martins is a Nigerian musician, singer, songwriter and producer. He was born on 29th September 1977 in Onitsha, Anambra State in south eastern part of Nigeria, and has family roots in Ohafia, Abia State.
J. Martins is best known for his song "Oyoyo" "Jupa" and "Good Or Bad". J. Martins is also known to have featured on the song by P-Square, "E No Easy". He has also featured Phyno, YCEE, Fally Ipupa, DJ Arafat, Koffi Olomide, Timaya.
J. Martins completed his primary and secondary education in Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
After his primary and secondary educations, J. Martins proceeded to the Institute of Management and Technology (IMPT) Enugu, Nigeria and obtained his national diploma, he later went to Enugu State University of Science and Technology and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
He started singing at a very tender age and were encouraged by his mother who was a member of the church choir. Dhe influences j. Martins to join the church choir and developed his vocal.
In 2008, J. Martins released his first studio album "Get Serious". In 2009, he released his second debut studio album "Elevated". In 2012, he released his third studio album "Selah". In 2016, he released his fourth studio album "Authentic".
